our story
I started “Art for Parkinson’s” as an initiative to raise funds for Parkinson’s disease because of the personal experience of seeing my father diagnosed at an early age. Witnessing the challenges he faced and the impact the condition had on his life and our family, I felt compelled to take action. Art has always been a significant part of my life, and I realized its potential to make a difference in raising awareness and funds for a cause that hits close to home.
Through “Art for Parkinson’s,” I wanted to create a platform where artists could showcase their talents and contribute to the Parkinson’s community. By organizing art exhibitions, auctions, and collaborative projects, we aim to channel the power of art to raise funds for research, support services, and patient care through organizations such as the Michael J. Fox Association. The initiative not only serves as a means to generate financial assistance but also as a way to bring together individuals affected by Parkinson’s, fostering a sense of community and understanding. At Art for Parkinson’s, we are driven to work towards a future where Parkinson’s is better understood, managed, and ultimately cured.
